<summary>What is this?</summary>

A snapshot of what's on my plate right now: work, learning, life. Inspired by [nownownow.com](https://nownownow.com).

</details>

**Work:** Leading engineering on [Rosey](https://meetrosey.ai), [Fueled](https://fueled.com)'s AI-native delivery platform, and helping Fueled's teams and clients put AI agents to work. Since March I'm a Principal Engineer: hands-on architecture in a small AI-native team, plus technical sales and engineering foundations such as RFCs. The work spans workflow orchestration, persistent memory, agent verification, shared skills, and cloud-native agent infrastructure.

Wrapped up as technical lead for backend and infrastructure on a C. S. Lewis project: a CMS and an interactive mobile app built around his writing, not an e-book reader. It's close to launch.

**Research:** Reading and experimenting on how agents remember, retrieve, and get checked. Lately: deterministic compaction for long sessions (it became [Pi Pocket Blackhole](https://github.com/theskumar/pi-pocket-blackhole)), hybrid search and embeddings, and evals that measure what a human still has to fix after an agent's pass. Shorter findings land in [TIL](https://saurabh-kumar.com/til/).

**Product:** Building up the product side, on the bet that code keeps getting cheaper to write and deciding what to build becomes the scarce skill. Practising problem framing and outcome metrics on client work. Reading *Inspired* and *The Mom Test* this month.

**Side / learning:** Maintaining [python-dotenv](https://github.com/theskumar/python-dotenv) as time allows. Moved my TIL notes into this site, one page per note. Running my reading and notes through an agent-maintained knowledge base, and tinkering with local LLMs on Apple Silicon.

**Available for:** Contracting on AI agents, agentic platforms, and backend systems. [Drop a line.](mailto:hello@saurabh-kumar.com)

**Life:** Outskirts of Delhi with my wife, our son Amay, and our dog [Hachi](https://instagram.com/hachi.softysingh). Most off-hours go to keeping up with a toddler who refuses to stop playing, and learning to parent him as we go. Visited Singapore in late August.

**Not doing:** Conference talks or meetups; the blog and TIL are where I'm putting that energy instead.
